disconnect receiver on worcester boiler 28i?

hi, i have a worcester bosh greenstar junior 28i, i have hard wired in a heatmiser prt stat. all working fine but when i take out the batterys out of the old wireless stat the heating cuts out. i have been told i should disconect the receiver in the boiler, how do i do this please
