how to rewire the emergency alarm button ?

there are norm 4 wires in the switch,two are switch wires,two are tamper,both will trip the alarm if connected wrongly ,first make sure the switch is closed,ie.magnet is up,(red push plate)next connect two of the pairs together,the the other two,try to rest your alarm,if it resets then connect two of the pair to the switch ,(of wire to each side)put cover back on,now and this is important push the swich and go see if the panel says tamper or panic alarm,if its says panic alarm all is well,if it says tamper,reverse the wires ie take the two wires off the switch contacts and put the other ones on,so you will have two wires on the switch contacts and two wires connected together on the spare terminal ,its very simple job,
