rf1 drayton wireless thermostat?

My thermostat which we have had for approx 8 years will now only reach max setting of 22, where it used to go higher. When it gets to 22 i press + button and nothing happens. It used to have a max setting in high twenties.
does anyone know if I need a new one fitted?
