How can I fix the timer on my creda aspire solarplus cooker?

the timer display on my cooker comes on everytime its turned on but frequently the lcd display goes dead and the top and main oven wont work. When the power is turned off then back on it may or may not stay "live". Do I need to replace the timer unit or can it be bypassed? How do I access the timer in the first place. Thanking you in advance.
