My MP3 Player states NO FILE?

Thank you so very much, I was about to throw out jwin mp3 but thanks to everyone I can now listen to my music.

Ok, I think I figured it out. My MP3 Player is an Ematic but comes with a sort of conversion tool to change any file added to mp3. I was using Windows Media Player before to add music, which was adding them as wmas, which apparently do not work. I'm not sure why syncing the player via wmp screws the process up. What I did was just opened the drive the represented my mp3 player, opened the folder with the songs I wanted in it, and copied and pasted them over to the mp3 drive. My transfer box came up and indicated it was being converted into mp3 format. Basically, I plugged the mp3 player in, wiped the folder clean of all files that I had put there so far..and read the instructions that came with the mp3 player. lol Who'd have thought?

HI i am glad to tell u that I was facing the same problem but I tried all tricks and formula finally come up with a solution and now my MP3 is working ok
1st u download setup from ur IItronics CD and
then goto my computers right click ur mp3 player
go to properties
select tool menu
select backup option
select restore option
MICIN.dir file will be added to ur mp3 player

It appears that after I recorded some sound with my mp3 player that the files go into the MICIN.DIR folder/directory. So I guess MICIN means MICROPHONE INPUT (FILES) DIRECTORY.

Bascially, just put your audio (mp3 type files) into the root directory or subfolders you can possibly create. I also got lucky, my mp3 player can also hold any compter data file, since it was not indicated anyplace on the box/wrapping. Just do a test by trying to copy a text file to it and then remove it from the usb and see if the computer will read it next time.

Hi, after alot of hassle, I have sussed it.
When you download files from media player , I was copying the songs into the MICIN.DIR file. ( the system seem to do this automatically)
To make sure you can play the songs, I then copied and pasted the song icons into the F:/ (this drive is the USB port directly linked to the MP3 Player- this may be a different drive on your computers( but it is the device drive) directly avoiding the MICIN.DIR file and the songs are there and play successfully.
Have not sussed how to do this from AAC files yet though. Hope this helps all of you having the same trouble as me.
