Mend Ford Mondeo Stuck

Can I fix my gear lever?

2 litre Ford Mondeo automatic. Gear lever is stuck in park. Any ideas?

Can't believe I am answering my own question! Lots of WD40 sprayed into the gear release button followed by a smart tap downwards on the gear lever with a 2lb rubber mallet has sorted the problem.We live in a high salt/high sand environment so maybe things just got bunged up... Anyway, no problems since then, though I carry the mallet just in case!
