digital video recorder displays FAIL when turned on, when I tried to fix the problem with the trouble shooting fixes it went completly blank and stays like that all the time now.My model is TECHWOOD 1020 Techwood digital video recorder twin terrestrial tuner
The fault is a corrupted software download. The cure is to reload the software that drives the box. You do this by downloading the software off of the internet, then connecting the box to your computer (using a 9 pin serial cable) and uploading the software. Full instructions here:
