Mend Flexicon Boiler Heating Noise

is it normal, flexicon boiler much noisier since service?

I recently had the black valve in the hotpress replaced and the boiler serviced.While the boiler is working it has become very noisy. It used to settle after the initial whoosh, now it sounds like its lashing rain just outside an open window all the time.

Did the engineer clean the condensate trap? If he didn't it's most likely blocked with sediment and needs removing and flushing through with cold water. The condensates block up then water slowly backs up into the boiler causing a boiling effect which is maybe what you can hear.
