how do I fix the cord to the footrest on my double recliner strato lounger ?

I pulled on the handle inside the side of my double strato lounger sofa and the handle and about 3 inches on the cord pulled out. Now the footrest won't open. It is a U5647 W3RS Stratolounger Sofa. The handle in inside the side next to the armrest.
