Off the top of my head i can think of 3 possable reasons. 1) faulty air pressure switch. 2) The ion rod is faulty. 3) Not enough water pressure in the system so the flow switch is not reading properly. Failing those checks it would pay to look at the control board/s and look for cracked solder joints or black burnt marks.
