Mend Ford Mondeo Brake Light Staying

ford mondeo brake light staying on?

2001 ford mondeo td, brake light staying on most of the time and even coming on when i put the clutch in.what's the problem and any idea how to fix it would be a big help. thanks

it does sound like the switch has gone but if you look under the foot well just check that it hasnt been knocked and doesnt need pushing back in they only sit in a little rubber grommet, i have seen that happen more times than the switch itself need replacing
