What is the name of this washer?

I am trying to find the name of a type of washer. It is thin and I think made of sprung steel. There are sharp edges in the centre which are flexible. When pushed on to a rod or similar the sharp edges will "bite" into the metal and hold it in place. It is a bugger to remove.
