Mend Mountfield HP470 Hp470 Mower

lawnmower stopped suddenly?

Hi ive hit a solid object with my mountfield hp470 mower and it stopped instantly . What is the likely damage to look for. i tried starting it but no luck , the pull cord seemed very tight .

cheers ive checked the blade and its ok there is no visible damage , think it is something internal

turn it on its side , check the blade, is not bent into the body, and that the drive shaft has not snapped,
