Mend Black and Decker Reflex 540 Spool

strimmer?

Black and Decker Reflex 540 cord jammed around base of spool carrier. How to remove the carrier from the drive shaft without having to separate the two halves of the whole unit.

done it without removal of carrier and just splitting bottom section of casing removing motor and sitting for hour picking at the jammed cord untill it broke where it was wrapped around shaft causing motor to get hot due to restricted revolutions.
