How do I fix a audio problem?

I recently bought a ilo 2GB MP3 player and for some reason I can't hear any audio from it. At first it worked great then one day I could only hear noise from one earphone then there was no sound at all if I fidget with it I can hear some noise for about a second and then nothing. The player works but no matter what type of headphones I use I don't get any audio sounds. I spent too much money on this thing to not be able to use it. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?
