Hotpoint WMA34 filter blockage?

Hi, my hotpoint WMA34 wont drain water out of the barrel, so after manually opening the door and draining the water I have read this is commonly because of a blocked filter, however i cant find the filter! Its not under the front panel, its not at the back, can anyone advise me? ive cleaned out the fluff buildup from the rubber protector around the door seal and drum, bu still no joy.
