my nokia 6230i got wet it still turns on ok so battery must be fine but it keeps displying insert sim. iv tryed new sim and still displays same message
this has been a problem for me because my younger sister droped it in water and it says insert sim this is because the main chip for the simcard has been wet internally,wot i suggest is that you leave your phone on top of a computer or a moniter this helped me , keep it there for a few days if it doesnt work then you have to find a hot warm place to keep it in for eg boiler. hope this helps
