What headlight bulbs does my 1987 hilux surf take?

I need to replace my headlight bulbs on my 1987 toyota hilux and I dont know what type I need? I cannot check what ones are in there at the moment because my lights are completely broken. I have been told they take H4 but would just like to confirm. Thanks
