Mend Disc Dvd Playing

stop it displaying 'wrong disc'?

This happened while a dvd was playing, and it just stopped. Now it will only display 'wrong disc' even when there is no disc installed. At present I can't get it out of this mode and nothing will play. Can anyone help?
