Hot water but no central heating?

Hi,

having an odd problem with the heating today. i can get as much hot water as i want but cannot persuade the CH to come on.

burner kicks in if hot water is run but nothing happens even when CH is turned directly on.

When i switch the motorised valve (honeywell) to manual it causes the boiler\burner to kick in before almost instantaneously reseting itself.

any ideas?

its a Glow Worm Micron 50ff. think its a two way motorised switch. pump (three speed) is set to two. anything else i can provide?

Would help you a lot more, if you gave the type make model etc of boiler. From what you have said, Not a combi, BUT still a lot of different systems about.
