Mend Dyson CR02 Replace Switch Dodgy

how can I replace the on/off switch on my dyson cr02?

The on/off switch still clicks when trying to turn it on but the machine/lights then go off it is almost as if there is a dodgy connection. I have ordered a replacement switch but not sure if this will work and how do you remove the display panel at the top to get to the workings behind?
