´somethings wrong with my radio?

i have just replaced my old radio cassete with a 2nd hand 1 but when i turn on the radio (blaupunkt) the radio works fine for about 1 minute then a loud bleeping noise comes on. although it is a code radio it doesnt appear to ask for 1 any ideas??
