I have an Automatic Car Lock Problem in my Focus 2007?

How do I fix the following problem with my Ford focus driver's-side door: I use the auto door opener and I hear the motor to lock or unlock running, but nothing happens to my door lock? It stays in the original position - incuding the autolock when starting to drive.
