keeping track position on 6000cd?

the problem im having is when i lm listening to my cd in car i can turn the ignition off and remove the key then put key back in and turn it to second stage and the cd comes back on at same point but resets to track 1 when i turn the key further to start the car, i know this isnt a serious problem but it is damn annoying :-( . any help gratefully recieved.
