Mend Samsung RF45H8D Refrigerator Freezer Defrost

samsung bottom freezer section wont freeze?

I change the motor and now have to defrost completely behind the plastic sheilds. Everything behind the panels is froze over but the compartment itself is not at freezing temp. What is the problem?
