while i was checking my timing belt on my diesel punto i took timing covers off turnd the camshaft and seen the tensioner moving side to side is this right for this diesel engine
would advise not to turn engine with camshaft,always use crank,I am guessing when turning with the camshaft you are releasing tension on the drive side of the belt and if you have a spring loaded tensioner then this would be seen to move when stopping and turning sprocket again and again,would think it is ok to see this.
