Mend Drayton SCR Heating Alarm

drayton scr?

the unit is flashing red alarm light. tried to over ride it, worked for few minutes then stopped, do i need to change the unit or can it be repaired?t.

repairable by purchasing a new capacitor.......available from eBay for just £2.
seems that drayton need to recall all these units as there is a common fault in that the unit always fails after approx 12 months.
