ford mondeo 2004 ?

thinking of buying a mondeo but i have heard there is an ongoing problem with bonnet catches can anyone tell me if they know anything about this problem.??

it may be the lock assy which needs the key to open it,never had any problems with these maybe because a regular spray of lubricant or spray grease keeps it water and dirt free,personally i think a lot of problems occur when people can`t be bothered to open their bonnets regularly for fluid checks etc
