We have inherated a 9827 alarm system. We have the code but we hate alarm systems and wish to disarm it permanently. I have been told that if you disconnect it from the electricity supply the alarm will be activated.

Its the same procedure for any mains operated alarm system,
use the search option,this procedure has been covered many times.
or get yourself a copy of the installation manual, and reverse the panel install procedure.

No alarm engineer worth his salt is going to give out that sort of information I'm afraid.
You'll have to get someone in or work it out for yourselves.
