Cut cable wires spliced correctly and insulated.
The alarm was set off when the cable was cut, so I assumed the fuse/fuses were ok.
The system is not under contract, is it probable the alarm has been installed in such a fashion that it requires the installation engineer to repair/re-set?
he not say where the fuse was blown, alarm guy, could have been in the panel.,but hey ho ,its fixed :-)

remove the fuse from the spur unit that feeds mains power to the panel, open the panel, check any fuses with a test meter, replace any blown fuse, close panel, replace the fuse in spur unit, then press reset, your panel is a budget one,so i doubt it has been programmed as engineer reset ,
