Mend Dimplex Fault Work Thermostat

Fault finding?

Hi just bought a dimplex automatic storeage heater, fairly new but will not work,
how do I tell if the thermostat is not working or if the elements are not working. I cannot find a cut of switch so presume it is one of the other things that are faulty Many Thanks

You need a test meter, elements should be a fairly low resistance, if thermostat variable type, should go from short cct to open cct as you turn, or if the overheat type, should be short cct.
