I have a 52 plate Iveco 75E17 horsebox conversion I have used twice since purchasing in January. The last time used was just after the cold weather the lorry had been stood still for two weeks although I had started it and let it tick over on two occassions. I started my journey fully loaded up and after some time the EDC light started flashing and the lorry started to surge, lose power and kangeroo. I crawled along to my destination and then it did the same thing after a while on the way home before improving again. I have not driven it since and there have been suggestions that there may be dirt in the tubes after standing still for a spell over the cold period, and I should just give it a good blast! Please can someone advise before I start booking it in at a garage. Many thanks.
Could be anything to do with the Electronic Diesel Control, from a blocked fuel filter to a faulty injector. I'd advise you to use a main dealer, or someone you know to be good as many independent garages don't have the proper iveco software.
