how can I get my singer5430c to work no light no power?

What is wrong. turned it on & light went out immediately. No power. Replaced bulb and plug fuse checked connection still no power.

you gonna have to get volt/amp meter and check for break in wires.if the all seem good you can open machine and check for power to receptacle,only way to go about it is step by step
