renault clio 98 1.4 wont start engine turns over?

Try toggling the little connector (like a small scart lead) on the edge of the coil box (to the left of the engine) whilst turning the engine over. If you hit the correct angle i.e left to right; right to left; up and down, it may suddenly start. I've had that same problem on my '99 1.2 and it does work. But you may need a replacement coil box.
