On switching on turntable rotates with light on?

I came in to see the light on and turntable rotating ( Clock displaying correct time ) stop button inoperative ,program buttons functioned on display and reset when stop pressed , but turntable and light were on and rotating . Powered off ( 30 mins ) and switched back on and the problem still there,
