Kenwood RD-VH7 doesn't read CDs?

Our Kenwood RD-VH7 doesn't read CDs. We have tried to clean the lens by using a Cleaner disc, but it doesn't read that either! Any suggestions what we can do next? Is it worth trying to have it repaired?
