how can i fix my nissan primastar radio/cd?

can any body help? try to turn on power to radio/cd but nothing happens, leave it for a few weeks and it will work as normal for a couple of weeks then stops again, leave it again for a few weeks and it will work
as normal, sounds crazy but its driving me mad any ideas
