Brother PC 8200 repair?

Embroidery machine constantly goes berserk and starts breaking needles. Just came back out of repair shop Tuesday, lasted less than 5 hours of operation. At wit's end. Repairman says timing off a little every time I take it in. What is he not doing that makes it lose it's correct position? Is he not tightening something down enough? My husband could repair it if I could find a trusted place to download a service manual, he repairs high end appliances for a living. Any info appreciated.

i have one and it is doing the same thing don't know what to do if you find out I would like to know repair man say it is the power supply on mine ? wanted 450 more to fix it just got it out of shop

Hi DMW,so you have problems with your PC 8200.Is the machine breaking needles in sewing mode or embroidery mode ? Is there any evidence of where the needle is breaking,needle plate damage or scuffing on the hook ? There are so many things that can cause needle breakage on sewing machines...not all mechanical failure ! So...heres some advice from a Brother trained & approved UK service engineer,find your local approved engineer & let him take a look.
