are all realease units on reclineing chairs the same measurements?

reclining chair,realease unit(metal)is broken,the chair is from harveys furniture,well made,the plate at the back is broken and it looks like a new one is needed,could you tell me if the part is standard or all diffrent sizes?i have been onto harveys and still waiting reply
