Mend AEG Years Machine Fine

AEG Oko Favorite Sensorlogic 18 years old?

Old but no trouble machine worked fine then next wash a few hours later would not switch on. No power in small screen that displays red digits. Open door and interior light on so power to machine ok I guess. Built in under worktop model.
Anyone know if the programmer has any quirks before I call it officially 'dead' please ???

Thanks ck, I went and checked the panel from behind the door cover. on/off switch goes straight into a printed circuit board along with all other switches. Could be a dead board then. oh well still was a good machine.
