how do i set my timing on my speedfight 100cc y reg?
i have had a engine rebuild and have put it back into my bike but as i pull the throttle back it does not respond well and rides at 5 - 10 mph then after reaching 25mph on a very long road it gets up to 30mph quik. i think the timing needs to be sorted could any one help please. thank you
no you cannot adjust the timing it is set in the cdi unit,the only way it can slip is if the woodruff key that holds the magneto in the right position on the crankshaft shears in half.i would suspect a blocked up exhaust pipe or possibly a blocked air filter these are the main reasons that an engine will not rev out.does it idle/tickover ok or do you have to keep it running by twisting the throttle?
