Logik LPV 2250- Decided not to turn on?

For some weeks my LPOV 2250 has been tempramental about turning on and off. So, for some time I kept it on i.e.green light on all the time and just switched off at the mains.Then on Monday, hallelujah, the remote turned it off, i.e. red light showing. Now I can't get it back on no matter how long I hold the button down on the remote, or how often I put new batteries in. Is this the same as
the power supply problem or something different?
Any advice appreciated.(we have sixteen hours of recording space left)
