Mend Zanussi Light Flashing Second Machine

Zanussi FLE1215W start/pause light flashing?

I just got a second hand Zanussi FLE1215W. After installing the machine, I attempted to run an empty cycle to make sure the machine works.

After turning the machine on and selecting a fabrics programme, the start/pause button continues to flash after pressing it. It appears to be stuck in pause mode even though the door locks. The wash cycle never starts.

I was thinking that maybe I need to reset the computer in the machine to the factory defaults? Can someone help me please?

Ok lets see if theres an error code in there. To do this you need to.
Turn the machine off.
Then press and hold the start/pause button and the reset button at the same time.
Now with them pressed in turn the machine on.
Keep the buttons held in till the lights start to scroll down then let go.
Now press the fabrics butoon till the led goes to the 40 deg light on the second row of lights.
Now there should be an error code displayed. This will be 2 lights flashing. the end light and the start light.
Count the number of flashes from each light and let me know. Start with the end ligth first.
Then turn the washer OFF THEN ON THEN BACK OFF AGAIN.
