reset button on Hotpoint Dishwasher (HDA model) built 94 or 95?

hi a technician came some time ago and hit the reset button...do you know where it is and what it looks like...do you have to turn the electricity off before you hit the button? thanks

Forgot to add details. It filled with water and won't agitate or drain. This is what it was doing when I called the technician over and he hit a reset button. I never used the dishwasher untill 6 months later and it didn't work, doing just what it did before, so I guess I got ripped off by Sears. Anyway...maybe this extra information can help
