standby power light will not change from red to green when the remote is used to power on

BTW I forgot TUTV is not a satellite service it's terrestrial.

They are not usually worth repairing because they are so cheap now. You don't sya the brand or where you got it but if it's under a year old, I'd take it back for a refund.
