Mend Bissell 9300-2 Tank Water Carpet

how can i mend tank lid crack on bissell 9300?

I would like to know if it is possible to mend plastic well enough when water is involved (i.e. carpet cleaner)I would like to try. The crack begins on bottom of suction area then curving up and around to side seam (about an inch and a half)
This is a Bissell pro heat turbo 2x, model #9300-2
tank lid #2037019. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP.
