Philips cooktronic M710 microwave oven door?

The oven door has a thin trim bezel that seals the door to the front of the oven when closed. The trim appears to be graphite, which is very brittle. A small section about 2 inches long in the corner above the hinge has broken off and cannot easily be repaired. The bulk of the bezel in that area is below the hinge and is intact.

Is it safe to continue using the oven with this small chunk of bezel missing?
