Mend Key Light Will Not Start

key lock light on and dishwasher will not turn on / start?

hi, new house, new second hand dishwasher, light on key lock, hold in for two seconds as it states in manual and nothing. turn power off and on again and light still on and nothing. power off for period of time and still nothing. tilted 45 degs and still nothing. what should i do.
