As my home is housing association I had it done by a nice bloke that came round.

Two of the cables will be the lighting ring. Hence anything after it on the ring (front room) is now disconnected. The other two cables will (in theory) come from the switches.
If you're lucky the colours of the wires in the switch cables may be different (perhaps yellow & blue wires as opposed to red & black). The ring wires are connected like for like. The neutral from the ring straight to goes to the light. The live from the ring goes through the switches to the light.

CALL AN EXPERT IN!!

Also consider doing a class - then the expert won't fleece you :)

DON'T!! just put like to like, As the wires need to be identified, call in the expert.

I would advise you to get in a professional unless you really know what you are doing. All the wires will need to be identified before even thinking about how to connect them.

This controls my hallway light which yes has 2 switches (upstairs and down)
My front room is possibly connected? As now not working
and my bell? which is working
