Mend Hotpoint DWF70 Dishwasher Cleaning Water

Water won't fill my Hotpoint DWF70 dishwasher?

When a program starts some water enters the dishwasher but as soon as it gets to the part in the cycle where the water should go through the arms and rotate them the water stops. The cycle continues but obviously does not wash the dishes. I have taken both arms off, cleaned them and checked that the float is moving freely.

Thanks but ended up having to buy a new dishwasher as nothing seemed to get it going again. I'd had it for over 7 years so guess it had done well.

from your description of the problem it sounds as though you have a faulty main wash pump, i have come accross some of these where still quite new the impellar has come loose in the pump housing requiring a new pump. if you have the ability remove the pump and check the impellar or for any blockages within the assembly
